PEMCO’s teammate spotlight features employees throughout the company. Every month, we’ll introduce you to a teammate that makes PEMCO possible.
Meet Jeanette Ramos…
What’s your role at PEMCO? How long have you worked at PEMCO?
I’ve been the QA administrator for the training department since October 2016, but I started as a control monitor in the planning department over two years ago.
I maintain all the data for the training departments: input, update, and keep up with records; keep track of employees who are due for training; and work with customers to make sure their training is up-to-date and both our systems are matching. Each customer has different requirements and may have their own training courses to take. Everyone must be qualified in order to work on the aircraft and this is how we keep track of it all.
What did you do before PEMCO?
I worked with electronics at a company focused on the medical and military fields. I worked specifically on Fuji Machines. Basically everything inside of a computer, I’ve assembled.
“Jeanette is a very organized, precise, and dedicated person who does a fantastic job of keeping it all together in the training department. She is also a very compassionate, caring, and kind person, who is always willing to listen, and help with solutions when problems arise. We are all very blessed to have Jeanette on our team!”
–Jorge Diaz, Manager – Technical Training
Do you remember your first flight?
The first flight I can remember was about two years ago to visit family in New York. I got motion sickness, so it wasn’t the most pleasant first flight.
What’s your favorite vacation spot?
St. Pete Beach, since I moved to Florida 23 years ago. That was my mother’s favorite place to go and it became mine as well.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal people.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A marine biologist. I love sea animals. I love the beach, though I’m from New Jersey so you wouldn’t think that.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my family. The beach, putt-putt, bowling, and PK’s PlayZone. Anything I can do with my kids.
What would you tell others interested in working at PEMCO; interested in aviation?
If you’re a hard worker and would like an opportunity to grow, then PEMCO is the place for you.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Just because my path is different, doesn’t mean I’m lost.”
