What is your role at AIRBORNE TAMPA?
“I'm a Lead Production Monitor.”

How long have you worked at AIRBORNE TAMPA?
“I have been with Airborne Tampa for 8 years. I started in 2nd shift and worked my way to 1st shift. Then, I worked in Planning for maybe 2 years. Now I am the Lead Monitor over T1.”

What interested you / how did you get started in aviation?
“I started working here through a mutual friend that recommended this job.”

Do you remember your first flight? Tell us about it.
“I do not remember my first time I flew on a plane, but for about 8 years my brother and I flew from Puerto Rico to Tampa, FL to spend the summer with my dad.”

What’s your favorite vacation or travel spot?
“I love my island, Puerto Rico, but one of my favorite types of vacations is going on cruises.”

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
“Teleportation and invisibility.”

What did you want to be when you grew up?
“I wanted to be a chef or a baker. I did work as a cake decorator at Walmart.”

What do you like to do outside of work (hobbies, etc.)?
“I love going to the movies and spending time with my family and friends.”

What would you tell others interested in working at AIRBORNE TAMPA; interested in aviation?
“In my case, as a Monitor, I would say it's a lot of information to take in, but once you get the hang of all the booth procedures, it gets easy. It does get stressful at times when returning the plane back to service, but after you release a few, you are set. This is a job where you will learn something new every day.”
